IKEA with friends
Because our awesome friend Kiri (from oshibanashiori.wordpress.com) is starting a 6-month-or-so long internship and we won’t be able to see her for a while, the charismatic Ruben (from Rubenerd.com) and good old me took her today to IKEA Tempe to walk around, eat food and have fun.
The day started just how the previous day ended – cloudy and raining. Luckily the weather decided to stop raining by the time I decided to go, but as I imagined it continued raining for most of the day.
We met at Railway Square near the city and Central (train) station, where we took a bus to Tempe. Half an hour of commenting on Sydney/Australia great public transport later, we reached IKEA and decided to have lunch because… it was lunch time and we were hungry. Who would have thought!
Before long we had finished our lunch and started moving into the deep labyrinths that is IKEA… which isn’t really a labyrinth and, as long as you follow the road and stay close to the road, it should be easy not to get lost. We did spend more time at IKEA that I thought we would, but I guess that happens when you’re having fun.
Eventually we made our way out into the pouring rain (yay for umbrellas and no wind!). Unfortunately, because it was a rainy day, our bus took a long time to get to our bus stop. Sydney’s public transport becomes laggy when it rains.
I had already been to this particular IKEA twice now, but neither in those times did I have the chance to really explored. Okay fine, we didn’t do much exploring today, but today’s trip wasn’t about exploring. It was about having a good time with friends while we made jokes and puns every walking second.
Today was a good day. It may have been raining heavily (good thing I didn’t wear socks!), but that didn’t make the day any crappier. Nothing could have. Because when you’re out with your closest friends having random fun, everything is well in the world. Thank you Kiri and Ruben for an amazing time at IKEA. I hope we can get together again soon. :)

IKEA has provided me with so much entertainment over the years! I can see why you would dedicate a whole post to it.
The picture of your friend eating at their restaurant has made me rather hungry :)
