Rest in Peace, Maurice Sendak

Having been born in Peru, I’m not familiar with many English children books – hell, I can’t even remember Spanish children books that much. So of course I’m not really familiar with Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, and didn’t really give it much thought when the film came out a few years ago.

It is always sad when a well known author dies. Those who have read and remember his work especially. For those who aren’t familiar with the author and/or his work, it brings a different kind of pain and sadness.

Rest in peace Maurice. I didn’t know you, at all, nor Where the Wild Things Are. But I hope that I will, someday. Thanks in advance for everything.

Elections are fun

Nice hat

Today I was watching Vlogbrothers videos on Youtube from 2008, and a few of them were about the 2008 Presidential elections in the US, and it reminded me of the times I went to vote here in Australia.
